Inclusion of R&D Results in the Personal Bibliographic Database (OBD)

Inclusion of R&D Results in the Personal Bibliographic Database (OBD)

  • Inclusion of results of R&D activities in the Personal Bibliographic Database (OBD system) adheres to the Rector’s Decree RR/3/2019.
  • Collection of data on publication and other research activities is made in the OBD application (Personal Bibliographic Database).
  • Access to the OBD application: TBU employees use the same user name and password which they use to log in to the University portal; PhD students are provided special access data upon request.
  • Citations of results which are not included in the OBD system are subsequently checked according to the Methodology for Assessment of Results Achieved by Research Institutions (Research, Development and Innovation Council of the CR)
  • The resulting collection of bibliographic records is exported in a set to the RIV (Information Register of R&D Results)

Go to the OBD system

Which type of results is entered into the OBD system by the TBU Library?

  • Publication results which are eligible for points and included in the Web of Science and Scopus databases
  • New records in these databases are monitored once per week.

Types of results entered into the OBD system by the TBU Library

  • Jimp — Paper in a research journal registered in the Web of Science database
  • Jsc — Paper in a research journal registered in the Scopus database
  • D — Papers in conference proceedings
    • Web of Science — Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index
    • Scopus — source type: “Book Series, Conference Proceedings”

In accordance with RR/3/2019 the TBU Library creates records in the OBD system with the basic bibliographic data available in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. Subsequently, the records are submitted to the relevant faculties for completion.

Obligatory deposition of postprints

Authors are required to deposit postprints related to the relevant article.

Postprint is a digital draft of a research article after it has been peer-reviewed. This version of the article is ready for publication in the relevant journal, but not formatted for print yet. This version of the article may be accessible via the Open Access repository — in such case, we refer to the so-called Green Way OA.

Postprints can be entered as an appendix to a record in the OBD system or sent to the address: publikace@k.utb.cz.

In addition to the OBD application, the assessed publication results are also deposited in the Repository of Publication Activities of TBU.

The Library also offers the authors a possibility of creating their own publication output not indexed in the  Web of Science and Scopus databases, via this form.
