ResearcherID is a system for managing scholarly publications, especially useful for those researchers whose publications are listed in Web of Science. For more information, see ResearcherID and Web of Science Integration.
ResearcherID has the following advantages:
- Regular updates of the publication list (if you grant proxy access to the TBU Library)
- Valid citation metrics for publications from Web of Science
- You’ll retain full control over your account even when you are no longer employed at TBU
To get a ResearcherID account, authors can register at www.researcherid.com. Immediately after they fill in the required fields, a short ResearcherID identifier is generated in the following form: G-5667-2014. For more information, see Creating ResearcherID videotutorial.
Adding publications is possible directly from Web of Science using the “Save to ResearcherID – I wrote these” button. You can upload other publications as an RIS formatted text file. We strongly recommend to TBU researchers to enable proxy access to the library administrator.
Citation metrics from Web of Science are automatically updated in your publications in ResearcherID. You can be confident that you have the most current analytical research data.
ResearcherID account and TBU Library
We ask authors to grant the TBU Library the so-called “proxy access” which will enable us to add your new publications in the Web of Science database to your ResearcherID. Each record connected with the relevant author and entered in the Web of Science database will be automatically assigned to the author’s profile by the TBU Library. This videotutorial shows how to grant “proxy access”:
ResearcherID and ORCID
When creating a ResearcherID account, we recommend to associate the ResearcherID with ORCID ID. More information about ORCID ID.
