Christmas opening hours + lending books during Christmas
1. December 2025We bring you the information about the opening hours of the library, university press, and library store on the 4th floor and information about the lending books during Christmas.
Christmas opening hours — TBU Library in Zlin
- till December 13, 2025 = ordinary opening hours (including the last Saturday, December 13th)
- December 15, 2025–December 17, 2025 = opened 8.00–18.00
- December 18, 2025–January 2, 2026 = closed
- January 5, 2026–February 8, 2026 = weekdays 8.00–18.00
- after February 9, 2026 = ordinary opening hours

Extended opening hours of the 4th floor of the library during Christmas
- till December 14, 2025 = ordinary extended opening hours
- December 15, 2025–December 17, 2025 = opened 18.00–21.00
- December 18, 2025–December 21, 2025 = opened 8.00–18.00
- December 22, 2025–January 1, 2026 = closed
- January 2, 2026–January 4, 2026 = opened 8.00–18.00
- January 5, 2026–February 8, 2026 = weekdays 18.00–21.00, weekends 8.00–18.00
- after February 9, 2026 = ordinary extended opening hours
Please remember that to use the extended opening hours of the 4th floor you must register in advance at the loan desk on the 2nd floor.
Book loans for Christmas
From December 15, 2025 it is possible to borrow books usually available only for reference studies within the library. You can borrow up to 5 books.
The due date is January 7, 2026. Be aware that there is an overdue fine 50 CZK per item per day.
You can use the the return machine for the returning the books. It is located on the right side of the ground floor of the U13 building (behind the cloakroom). The U13 building is open every day from 7 AM to 8 PM.
